Becoming green in Home Decor, Making Your Bedroom green    by Dan Jacobson

If you care about your interior design style as much as you care about the environment and the people you like, then designing your bedroom to be modern, fashionable and functional but at the same time being green will definitely be a doddle. There are various ways to’go green’ with the interior design of your bedroom. An obvious but indirect way would be to include certain facets of nature in your home dcor and furnishings but this hardly encloses being eco friendly.

There must be a better ( and more direct ) way, though, to incorporate the environment in your interior design. First off would be the usage of organic furniture. Why do folk use organic furniture with your cabin design? They use it because just like organically grown food or purified water, it is safe ( and definitely beneficial ) to people and to the environment.

The real reason this type of furniture is ecologically friendly is because it doesn’t contain Formaldehyde in its furnishings. This chemical is widely used in most furnishings like beds and dressers and these have a tendency to become more concentrated and be harmful to its surroundings. Consistent inhalation due to extended exposure to this chemical can lead to headaches, absence of sleep, difficulty in respiring and many more ailments. If these are the effects on adults, imagine how it may affect babies who spend most of their time in traditionally manufactured baby cribs!

You may definitely see the difference after you replace your historically made ( with damaging paint and dyes ) bedroom furniture. You will find yourself sleeping more soundly and understand that these dangers made a contribution to your annoying headaches!

An green home decor does not lack in style and beauty as one might typically think. In fact, these furnishings even give off a more natural vibe to its surroundings. They are also known to be harder even tho more expensive as more care is given to them and raised standards are given.

Your selections for the best eco friendly bedroom set-up may consist of unfinished wooden bed frames and dressers made from choice woods like Maple and Spruce that weren’t treated with dangerous chemicals. For the chairs, the frames must not consist of dyes or synthetic glues and its cushions must not be chemically treated cotton. Instead, select chairs or sofas with cushions made from choice wool or natural cotton. The same applies for your pillows.

It’s not extremely difficult to turn your bedroom into a green bedroom furniture. It is definitely an investment both for your wellbeing and the fitness of mother nature. Your contribution will go a long way by fostering and supporting the use of sustainable materials for your home decor. Aesthetics definitely won’t suffer too, as the more natural the general feel of your bedroom is, the more gorgeous it becomes. I am betting mummy Nature will completely agree.
